The Stitch Diaries begins

Dear Stitch Diaries,

In all things there is a beginning. In most things there are many beginnings. Such is my life. I find that most people I know, get frustrated by this, and I get it. Life has taught me a very important lesson that forever changed my outlook on this. Just because a great idea does not take flight, does not mean that it was not a great idea. It simply was not the right time. Often times you were lacking something; time, money, motivation, and so on. I have had many great ideas in my pocket that later, as my life matured, were able to fall into place and take off. Some of them even took off at the time but didn't last long, and while serving a good purpose at the time, needed to rest for a season.

This crafting blog was one such idea. I had moved away from some of my best crafting friends and we missed crafting together. I have firmly believed that crafting with friends always makes your projects better, and longer, and more expensive, but most importantly better. You can't help but make a good idea, a great idea by bouncing it off of other creative minds. The feed back comes flying in! "Oooh, you know what you should do!" , "I would definitely add glitter!", "I can see it now!" . These two friends of mine and I started a crafting blog together called "Crafts by Friends". The main point was for us to share with each other what we were up to. Things went so well that we became a ".com". People loved that we were simply a "how to" site. We sold nothing. Life changes so fast sometimes. One of us started a restaurant, one of us went to school to become a teacher, and one of us went to school to do nails. Just like that the idea was over, but still there in my pocket.

I know I mentioned this, but life changes so fast! I was in a bad car accident that gave me such severe whip lash that I could no longer do nails. This made me very sad, but I am a true optimist! I saw an opening for something I love to take center stage again! I had another dear friend from years ago that I used to live next to
that I called one day and one thing lead to another and we became partners in a Quilt company. This also lead to me having my own line of patterns from all my years of crafting. Hello Stitch Diaries! I hope I can inspire. entertain, and improve the craft world just a little with my fun ideas.
